Do you also regularly replace your wedding rings with the same new ones?
Huh, what?
Indeed with me it also sounds like, crazy yes?
Yet in more than 90 percent of all steel, titanium, zirconium steel or tugnsten carbide or even tungsten steel wedding rings are.
Such rings can be customized only if they are made in an alloy -friendly composition, under very special conditions with very expensive tools. The process is also so time-consuming that it is almost never done because of the high cost. Unless a few people are driven to try it against their better judgment.
To give you an example such materials have no value at all, it literally goes from 0.10 Ct to € 5 Max.
So when you buy such a ring, you pay 95 percent manufacturing costs and some VAT.
Dangerous even!
Yes it is a fact, wedding rings made of steel and titanium alloys are strong, made thicker than gold or platinum rings. This ensures for all possibilities that if your finger swells due to a fall or the like: hospitalization, broken finger,... there may well be that you are left with permanent damage to your finger. These rings are very, very difficult to saw through!
Please leave such "rings" lie. They don't add any value to your finger. On the contrary. Leave these metals for the aerospace and auto Industry.
Admittedly gold or platinum rings are not cheap. There is also a reason for it, these are solid materials very suitable for wedding rings with more than special properties!
Be smart, can't buy gold wedding rings, save up for it, rather buy 1 x really good wedding rings than every 2 year other. ( Some jewelers do fool your that this can be done, you now know better! )
