Processing old gold into jewelry

There are several options for turning the old gold into jewelry. The first option is, you are attached to the gold because it belongs to one of a loved one, then I can effectively use this gold to make something out of it.

The color does remain as it is, you cannot turn yellow gold into white gold and vice versa. One must also pay attention to the content of your old gold, it is recommended to always melt the correct grade 18 Kt together with other 18 Kt gold and not mix it with 14 Kt or 9 or 8 Kt gold. This significantly lowers the value of your old gold but above all, the gold can start to crack or tear when processing this gold. The gold must then irrevocably be brought in to a large gold refinery to be refined back.

The 2nd option for processing old gold into new jewelry is to have it fully purified and analyzed. The gold is first purchased from the refinery after which they then "swap" this into new, pure 24kt gold. With this pure gold I can create any color of gold: white gold, champagne white gold, warm yellow gold, light yellow gold, rose gold and red gold. So that means you can have multiple colors incorporated into a design. With this exchange you do lose a very small amount of gold, of course the refinery also charges a fee to purify the gold, you don't have to pay anything, they retain a small percentage of gold that they don't pay out-exchange.

There is still a 3rd alternative method, this if the old gold through the goldsmith as "potentially dangerous" to crack when processing it. For example, if you really want to use the gold to make something new out of it, I work together with a small-scale gold caster, we work with an original model made in wax or printed with the computer after which your own old gold is melted down and processed in the lost wax technique.
