Jewelry to shine with
Jewelry doesn't really have anything functional yet people have been wearing jewelry since prehistoric times, even before they started wearing clothes. There is only 1 profession that is older,... Jewelry was used to distinguish oneself from others, to impress or protect oneself. From simple pierced shells to extraordinary gold jewelry. Still jewelry is something that continues to fascinate but very little is known about contemporary manufacturing processes and quality.
The differences
There are big differences between materials used and the way some jewelry is manufactured. Everyone has seen them hanging in clothing stores: the plastic jewelry or imitation or 1 day wear jewelry. Good for a party or mega event because if you lose it, no problem it cost almost nothing anyway.
What do we still have? Right, the silver mass production jewelry. It looks almost like the white gold diamond jewelry, some are even plated with yellow or red gold. Here you already pay a little more depending on how expensive the brand name is. In terms of durability it is already a lot better than the plastic jewelry but it is still silver so especially for rings it is not durable!
And of course the real gold collections with or without diamonds. The latter, you guessed it I am obviously going to recommend not because of the price but for the durability of the jewelry purchased. Gold jewelry has huge advantages even if it is a mass-produced or cast piece. Read more about gold and its benefits at: http://www.hansnagy.be/goud-de-beste-keuze-voor-trouwringen/
What jewelry do you choose? My advice is if your budget allows, always go for gold. You will enjoy it the longest. Finally, you buy a jewel because you like it, don't you? That is and remains the main reason, enjoy a beautifully fitting jewel tailored to you!
As a goldsmith, I am always ready to work with you to design the most beautiful piece of jewelry!
